Ms. Dee Dee’s expansion is complete, and it looks great!   The new addition has provided us with three new classrooms, and the older children in our Summer Camp program (fourth grade and up) are the first new occupants.  The new room contains upgraded equipment such as a flat screen TV, a Wii, a cool guitar clock, new games, and more.

 

Construction Updates:

 
10/10/08- The concrete slab is being poured today!

 

10/17/08- Work has begun on installing the steel framing.

 

10/27/08- Sheathing is being installed over the frame- now you can see the outline of the addition!

   

1/08/09- Windows are being installed, and work continues on the inside.

 

2/10/09- Insulation and sheet rock begin to give the interior a more finished look.

 

3/15/09- All mechanical and plumbing inspected and tested.

 

3/20/09-4/1/09- Exterior brick complete!

 

4/3/09- Interior painting and exterior sidewalks and landscaping to be installed.

 

4/27/09- We're in the home stretch!  Final inspections, finishing touches, and cleanup are happening now.  CO to follow shortly!

 

6/1/2009-  The expansion is complete!

 

6/15/2009- Our older Summer Camp kids (fourth grade and above) are really enjoying the new 32" flat screen TV donated by Dawn and Chuck Maddox.   The new room is awesome, and everyone loves all of the new, fun stuff we have, like the Wii Fit.  Our Summer Camp program is in full swing throughout the building, and so far it looks like it will be another fantastic summer!
